Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Socket set
    • Screwdriver set
    • Pliers
    • Torque wrench
    • Multimeter
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to prevent any electrical shorts.
2. Remove Glove Box
  • Open the glove box and remove any contents.
  • Disconnect the dampener arm (if equipped) by pulling it off the pivot.
  • Locate the stops on either side of the glove box and press them inward to release the glove box from the dashboard.
  • Remove the glove box from the vehicle to access the blower motor.
3. Remove Blower Motor
  • Locate the blower motor assembly. It is typically mounted on the passenger side under the dashboard.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor by pressing the tab and pulling it out.
  • Remove the retaining screws or bolts securing the blower motor to the housing.
  • Carefully pull the blower motor out of the housing, taking care not to damage any surrounding components.
4. Install New Blower Motor
  • Place the new blower motor into the housing, ensuring it is seated properly.
  • Reinstall the retaining screws or bolts and tighten them to the manufacturer's specifications (typically around 5-7 Nm).
  • Reconnect the electrical connector to the blower motor, ensuring it clicks into place.
5. Reassemble and Test
  • Reinstall the glove box by reversing the removal steps.
  • Reconnect the vehicle battery.
  • Start the vehicle and test the blower motor at all speed settings to ensure proper operation.
