Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Allow the vehicle to cool down if it has recently been operating.
2. Inspect and Replace Fuses
  • Locate the fuse box (usually found under the dashboard or in the engine compartment).
  • Identify the climate control system fuses using the diagram on the fuse box cover.
  • Use a fuse puller to remove any blown fuses and replace them with new ones of the same amperage.
3. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  • Locate the cabin air filter cover (usually behind the glove box).
  • Remove the cover and take out the old cabin air filter.
  • Install a new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly, then reattach the cover.
4. Check and Recharge Refrigerant
  • Connect a refrigerant gauge to the low-pressure port of the AC system.
  • Check the refrigerant levels; if low, proceed to recharge using the appropriate R-134a refrigerant.
  • Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for the correct amount of refrigerant to add.
5. Inspect and Replace Blower Motor
  • Remove the panel covering the blower motor (usually under the dashboard on the passenger side).
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from the blower motor.
  • Unbolt the blower motor from its housing and remove it.
  • Install the new blower motor, secure it with bolts, and reconnect the wiring harness.
6. Diagnose and Replace Climate Control Module (if necessary)
  • If the above steps do not resolve the issue, the climate control module may need replacement.
  • Disconnect the battery again, then remove the dashboard or center console panel to access the climate control module.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness and unbolt the module from its mounting location.
  • Install the new climate control module, reconnect the wiring, and reassemble the dashboard or console.
