Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool before beginning work.
2. Replace Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, spark plug socket.
  • Remove the ignition coil cover (if applicable) using the socket set.
  • Disconnect the wiring harness from each ignition coil.
  • Remove the ignition coils from the spark plugs.
  • Use the spark plug socket to remove the old spark plugs.
  • Install new spark plugs, hand-tighten, and then torque to manufacturer specifications (usually around 20 Nm).
  • Reinstall the ignition coils and reconnect the wiring harness.
3. Clean Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, cleaning cloth, screwdriver set.
  • Remove the air intake duct from the throttle body.
  • Use the throttle body cleaner and a cloth to clean the inside of the throttle body, removing carbon buildup.
  • Ensure the throttle plate moves freely and is not sticking.
  • Reattach the air intake duct securely.
4. Inspect and Replace Vacuum Lines
  • Tools Required: Pliers, vacuum line replacement kit.
  • Visually inspect all vacuum lines for cracks, disconnections, or wear.
  • Replace any damaged or old vacuum lines with new ones from the replacement kit.
  • Ensure all connections are secure and free from leaks.
5. Check and Clean MAF Sensor
  • Tools Required: MAF cleaner, screwdriver set.
  • Locate the MAF sensor in the air intake system.
  • Carefully disconnect the electrical connector.
  • Remove the MAF sensor from its housing.
  • Spray MAF cleaner onto the sensor elements and let it dry completely.
  • Reinstall the MAF sensor and reconnect the electrical connector.
