Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Funnel
    • Lint-free cloth or paper towel
    • Transmission fluid (check owner’s manual for the correct type)
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface.
  • Allow the engine to run until it reaches normal operating temperature.
2. Check Fluid Level
  1. Locate the transmission dipstick or fill plug:
    • For automatic transmissions, the dipstick is typically near the back of the engine bay.
    • For manual transmissions, locate the fill plug on the side of the transmission casing.
  2. Remove the dipstick or fill plug:
    • For dipsticks, simply pull it out. For fill plugs, use the appropriate socket wrench.
  3. Clean the dipstick or plug with a lint-free cloth.
  4. Reinsert the dipstick or plug completely and remove it again to check the fluid level:
    • Fluid should be between the “Full” and “Add” marks on the dipstick.
  5. If the fluid is low, add the correct type of transmission fluid gradually using a funnel until the appropriate level is reached.
  6. Reinsert the dipstick or fill plug securely.
