Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Funnel
    • Clean rag
    • Transmission fluid (as specified in the owner's manual)
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface.
  • Wear safety gloves and goggles.
2. Locate the Transmission Fluid Dipstick/Filler Plug
  • Open the hood and secure it with the prop rod.
  • Identify the transmission dipstick (if equipped) or the filler plug on the transmission housing.
  • If the dipstick is not present, use a suitable wrench to remove the filler plug.
3. Check the Fluid Level
  • With the engine running and warmed up, pull the dipstick out (if applicable) and wipe it clean with a rag.
  • Reinsert the dipstick fully, then remove it again to check the fluid level.
  • If checking via the filler plug, insert a finger into the opening. The fluid should be at the bottom of the filler hole.
4. Add Fluid if Necessary
  • If the fluid level is low, use a funnel to add the appropriate transmission fluid specified in the owner's manual.
  • Avoid overfilling, as this can cause issues.
5. Reassemble
  • If you removed the filler plug, make sure to securely replace it.
  • If using a dipstick, ensure it is fully seated.
