Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools:
    • Flathead screwdriver
    • Torx screwdriver (T20)
    • New cabin air filter
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the ignition is off.
2. Access Cabin Air Filter Compartment
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove all items from inside.
  2. Locate the two stops on either side of the glove compartment and gently squeeze them inward to allow the glove compartment to drop down completely.
  3. Remove the screws securing the cabin air filter cover using the Torx screwdriver (T20).
  4. Carefully detach the cover to expose the cabin air filter.
3. Remove Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Pull the old cabin air filter straight out of its housing.
  2. Inspect the filter for dirt and debris. Note the orientation of the filter (indicated by arrows on the filter).
4. Install New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing, ensuring it follows the correct orientation (arrows pointing in the direction of airflow).
  2. Reattach the filter cover and secure it with screws using the Torx screwdriver (T20).
5. Reassemble Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment back into position.
  2. Squeeze the side stops back into place to secure the glove compartment.
  3. Replace all items removed from the glove compartment.
