1. Preparation

• Gather tools and materials:
  • Socket set
  • Transmission fluid pump
  • New transmission fluid (per manufacturer specifications)
  • Drain pan
  • Funnel
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.

2. Drain Old Fluid

• Place a drain pan under the transmission pan.
• Remove the transmission pan bolts using the socket set, starting from the rear to allow fluid to drain forward.
• Carefully lower the pan and allow all fluid to drain completely.

3. Inspect the Transmission Pan and Filter

• Clean the transmission pan and inspect for metal shavings or debris, which could indicate internal damage.
• Replace the transmission filter if applicable, following the manufacturer’s guidelines for filter type and replacement procedure.

4. Install New Transmission Fluid
