Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.

Tools Required:

  • OBD-II scanner
  • Socket set
  • Screwdrivers
  • Multimeter
  • Torque wrench
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct to access the throttle body.
  • Use throttle body cleaner to spray and clean the throttle plate and surrounding area.
  • Reassemble the air intake duct and ensure all clamps are secure.
3. Inspect and Replace the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor
  • Disconnect the electrical connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor.
  • Remove the sensor from its mounting using a socket set.
  • Install the new sensor in the reverse order of removal and reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Check and Replace Transmission Fluid
  • Place the vehicle on a level surface and run the engine to warm up the transmission fluid.
  • Locate the transmission dipstick, remove it, and check fluid level and condition.
  • If low or dirty, drain the transmission fluid using a suitable drain pan, replace the filter if necessary, and refill with the manufacturer-recommended fluid to the appropriate level.
5. Test and Replace Mass Airflow Sensor (if necessary)
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor connector and remove it from its mounting.
  • Test the MAF sensor with a multimeter according to the manufacturer specifications.
  • If readings are out of range, install a new MAF sensor by reversing the removal steps.
