Solution

1. Preparation

• Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, screwdriver set, cleaning solvent.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.

2. Address Fault Codes

• Connect the OBD-II scanner to the vehicle's diagnostic port.
• Record any fault codes and clear them.
• If the codes reappear after clearing, investigate the specific components indicated.

3. Inspect Fuel System

• Tools Required: Fuel pressure gauge.
• Disconnect the fuel pump relay and turn the ignition on to relieve fuel pressure.
• Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail and check for proper pressure (usually 30-40 psi for RAV4).
