Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Small flathead screwdriver, new battery (typically CR2032), key fob.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure location and the key fob is accessible.
2. Open Key Fob
  • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob at the seam.
  • Take care not to damage the casing or internal components.
3. Replace Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob. Note the battery orientation (positive side up).
  • Insert the new battery into the key fob, ensuring it is aligned properly.
4. Reassemble Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they snap back into place.
  • Ensure there are no gaps and the fob is securely closed.
5. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  • Turn the key to the "OFF" position and remove it.
  • Repeat this process (ON to OFF) five times, ending with the key in the "ON" position.
  • Press any button on the key fob within 30 seconds to complete programming.
