Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, and the engine is turned off and cool.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical shorts.
2. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Use a throttle body cleaner and a soft rag to clean the throttle body.
  • Remove the intake duct connected to the throttle body using a socket set.
  • Spray the cleaner on the throttle body and wipe away carbon deposits.
  • Reattach the intake duct securely and reconnect the battery.
3. Check and Replace Air Filter
  • Locate the air filter housing and remove it by unscrewing the clips or screws.
  • Replace the old air filter with a new one that meets OEM specifications.
  • Ensure the housing is sealed properly before closing.
4. Test and Replace Fuel Pump or Filter (if necessary)
  • Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail and turn the ignition to the ON position to check pressure.
  • If the pressure is outside the specified range, replace the fuel filter and/or fuel pump as needed.
  • To replace the fuel filter, relieve fuel system pressure, disconnect fuel lines, and replace the filter with a new one.
5. Inspect and Clean MAF Sensor
  • Disconnect the MAF sensor wiring harness and remove the sensor from its housing.
  • Clean the sensor gently with MAF cleaner spray and a soft brush.
  • Reinstall the sensor and reconnect the wiring harness.
