Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver (or appropriate tool for clips)
    • New cabin air filter (OEM or equivalent)
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is turned off before beginning work.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the passenger side door and locate the glove compartment.
  2. Remove the contents of the glove compartment for easier access.
  3. Locate the two stops on either side of the glove compartment and gently press them inward to allow the compartment to drop down fully.
  4. Remove the panel covering the cabin air filter access (this may involve unscrewing or unclipping it, depending on the specific design).
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Once the access panel is removed, slide out the old cabin air filter carefully.
  2. Inspect the old filter for signs of dirt and debris to understand how often it may need replacing.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Take the new cabin air filter and align it correctly according to the airflow direction indicated on the filter (usually an arrow).
  2. Slide the new cabin air filter into the housing until it is fully seated.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Reattach the access panel by securing it with screws or clips.
  2. Lift the glove compartment back into position, ensuring the stops are properly engaged.
  3. Replace all items in the glove compartment.
