Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Lift the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the front or rear of the vehicle (depending on where noise is coming from).
  • Secure the vehicle with jack stands for safety.
3. Inspect and Replace Worn Suspension Components
  • Check Struts/Shocks:
    • Remove the wheel to access the strut assembly.
    • Inspect for oil leaks or physical damage.
    • If damaged, disconnect the strut from the mount and lower control arm, and replace with new strut/shock.
  • Inspect Sway Bar Links:
    • Check for wear and tear on links and bushings.
    • If damaged, remove the bolts securing the links and replace with new ones.
  • Check Bushings:
    • Inspect control arm bushings for cracks or excessive wear.
    • If worn, press out the old bushings and press in new ones.
4. Reassemble and Lower the Vehicle
  • Reattach all components in reverse order of removal.
  • Ensure all bolts are torqued to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
