Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe and well-ventilated area.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Throttle Body Cleaning
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, soft cloth, screwdriver set.
  • Remove the air intake duct from the throttle body.
  • Spray the throttle body cleaner on a soft cloth and wipe the throttle plate and inside of the throttle body until clean.
  • Reassemble by reconnecting the air intake duct securely.
3. Fuel Pressure Check
  • Tools Required: Fuel pressure gauge, safety goggles, shop rags.
  • Locate the fuel pressure test port on the fuel rail.
  • Connect the fuel pressure gauge to the test port and turn the ignition to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  • Record the fuel pressure reading; it should be within the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Disconnect the gauge and replace the test port cap securely.
4. MAF Sensor Testing
  • Tools Required: Multimeter.
  • Locate the MAF sensor connected to the air intake duct.
