• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off before starting.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.

2. Check and Refill Power Steering Fluid

• Locate the power steering fluid reservoir.
• Remove the cap and check the fluid level; if low, add the recommended power steering fluid (typically Dexron III or equivalent).
• Replace the cap securely.

3. Inspect and Replace Power Steering Hoses

• Locate the power steering hoses connected to the pump and steering gear.
• Check for cracks, leaks, or signs of wear.
• If damaged, use a socket set to unbolt the hoses from the pump and steering gear.
• Replace with new hoses, ensuring secure connections and proper routing.

4. Inspect and Replace Power Steering Pump (if necessary)

• Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner with a socket wrench.
• Disconnect hoses from the power steering pump.
