Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, and turn off the ignition.
2. Inspect and Replace the Fuse
  • Locate the fuse box (refer to the owner’s manual for location).
  • Remove the wiper fuse using a fuse puller or needle-nose pliers.
  • Visually inspect the fuse for a blown filament. If blown, replace with a fuse of the same amperage (usually 15A for wipers).
  • Reinstall the fuse and test the wipers.
3. Replace the Wiper Motor
  • Tools Required: Socket set, screwdriver set, multimeter.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shock.
  • Remove the wiper arms by loosening the retaining nuts with a socket.
  • Remove the plastic cowl cover by unscrewing the fasteners.
  • Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector.
  • Remove mounting bolts for the wiper motor and lift it out.
  • Install the new wiper motor in reverse order, ensuring all connections are secure.
  • Reconnect the battery and test the wipers.
4. Repair or Replace the Wiper Switch
  • Tools Required: Screwdriver set, multimeter.
  • Disconnect the battery.
  • Remove the steering column cover using a screwdriver.
  • Disconnect the wiper switch connector.
  • Test the switch with a multimeter for continuity.
  • If faulty, replace with a new wiper switch and reconnect all wiring.
  • Reassemble the steering column and reconnect the battery.
