Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and materials: new key fob battery (CR2032), small flathead screwdriver, and a multimeter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked, and all electronics are turned off.
2. Replace the Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the Key Fob

    • Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry apart the key fob casing.
    • Take care not to damage the casing or internal components.
  2. Remove the Old Battery

    • Note the orientation of the old battery (positive and negative sides).
    • Carefully remove the old battery using the screwdriver.
  3. Install the New Battery

    • Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
    • Ensure it is seated properly within the battery compartment.
  4. Reassemble the Key Fob

    • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until they click into place.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Enter Programming Mode

    • Sit in the driver’s seat with all doors closed.
    • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  2. Perform the Reprogramming Steps

    • Press the lock button on the key fob once.
    • Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
    • Test the key fob to see if it operates correctly.
