Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool
    • Torx screwdriver (if applicable)
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the ignition is off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove box and remove any contents.
  2. Locate the damper arm on the right side of the glove box.
    • If present, gently pull the damper arm off to allow the glove box to swing down further.
  3. Squeeze the sides of the glove box to disengage the stops and allow it to drop down completely.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter cover, which is typically found behind the glove box.
  2. Unclip or unscrew the filter cover using the appropriate tool.
  3. Carefully pull the old cabin air filter out of its housing, noting the orientation (airflow direction).
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Take the new cabin air filter out of its packaging and check the orientation arrows.
  2. Insert the new filter into the housing, ensuring it is in the correct orientation as noted from the old filter.
  3. Replace the filter cover and secure it with clips or screws.
5. Reassemble the Glove Box
