Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver (if needed), new cabin air filter.
  • Safety Warnings: Ensure the vehicle is turned off before beginning work.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove all items inside.
  2. Locate the two stops on either side of the glove compartment and press them inward to allow the compartment to drop down.
  3. If necessary, use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the limit stop on the right side to allow the glove compartment to swing down completely.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter cover, usually a rectangular panel near the back of the glove compartment.
  2. Unclip the cover by pressing on the tabs or releasing the clips holding it in place.
  3. Carefully pull out the old cabin air filter from its housing.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Take the new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly according to the airflow direction indicated on the filter.
  2. Slide the new filter into the compartment, ensuring it fits snugly and securely.
  3. Reattach the cabin air filter cover by pressing it back into place until you hear it click.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment back into position and reattach the limit stop if it was removed.
  2. Ensure the glove compartment closes properly and does not obstruct any components.
