Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver, multimeter, replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure you are in a well-lit area to see small components clearly.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  • Be cautious to avoid damaging the plastic clips.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from its compartment.
  • Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
  • Ensure the battery is seated properly and the contacts are clean.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press firmly until you hear a click, indicating the fob is securely closed.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Sit in the vehicle and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine).
  • Turn the key back to "OFF" and remove it.
  • Press the "Lock" button on the key fob within 5 seconds of removing the key.
  • Repeat this process for any additional key fobs needing programming.
