Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
2. Inspect and Replace Engine/Transmission Mounts
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, pry bar
  • Remove any components obstructing access to the mounts.
  • Use the pry bar to gently lift the engine/transmission and inspect the mounts.
    • If the mounts are cracked, torn, or otherwise damaged, remove the bolts securing them to the chassis and engine/transmission.
    • Install new mounts and torque to manufacturer's specifications.
3. Inspect and Replace Drive Shafts/CV Joints
  • Tools Required: Jack and jack stands, socket set, CV joint puller (if necessary)
  • Raise the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the wheels to access the drive shafts.
  • Inspect the CV joints for wear, tears, or loss of grease.
    • If damaged, remove the old CV joint and install a new one, ensuring proper alignment.
  • Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle.
4. Transmission Fluid Service
  • Tools Required: Transmission fluid pump and appropriate transmission fluid
  • Locate the transmission fluid dipstick or fill plug.
  • Check the fluid level and condition; if it’s low or dark, perform a fluid change.
    • Drain the old fluid, replace the filter if applicable, and refill with the recommended fluid type.
