Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shock.
2. Inspect Battery and Connections
  • Tools Required: Wrench set, wire brush.
  • Remove the negative terminal followed by the positive terminal from the battery.
  • Clean the battery terminals and cable connections with a wire brush to remove corrosion.
  • Reconnect the battery terminals securely, starting with the positive terminal.
3. Test the Alternator
  • Tools Required: Multimeter.
  • Start the engine and set the multimeter to the DC voltage setting.
  • Place the red probe on the positive terminal of the battery and the black probe on the negative terminal.
  • The voltage should read between 13.8 to 14.5 volts. If it is lower, the alternator may need replacement.
4. Inspect Headlight Wiring
  • Tools Required: Electrical tape, wire strippers, multimeter.
  • Locate the headlight wiring harness and inspect it for frayed wires or loose connections.
  • If any damage is found, repair the wires using electrical tape or replace them if necessary.
5. Replace Fuse (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Fuse puller or pliers.
  • Locate the fuse box and identify the headlight fuse.
  • Remove the fuse and inspect it for continuity. If it is blown, replace it with a fuse of the same amperage.
