3. Inspect and Replace the Thermostat (if necessary)
  • Drain the coolant from the radiator into a clean container.
  • Remove the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing.
  • Unbolt the thermostat housing and remove the old thermostat.
  • Install a new thermostat in the correct orientation, ensuring the rubber gasket is properly seated.
