Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: Flat-head screwdriver (if needed) and the physical key from the key fob.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe and secure location.
2. Accessing the Physical Key
  1. Locate the small button or latch on the key fob to release the physical key.
  2. Remove the physical key from the fob by sliding it out gently.
3. Unlocking the Door
  1. Insert the physical key into the driver’s side door lock cylinder.
  2. Turn the key clockwise to unlock the door. If the lock is stiff, gently wiggle the key while turning.
  3. Open the door and enter the vehicle.
4. Replacing the Key Fob Battery
  1. Once inside, replace the dead key fob battery to restore functionality.
  2. Open the key fob by prying it apart with a flat-head screwdriver.
  3. Remove the old battery (usually a CR2032 or CR2016).
  4. Insert the new battery, ensuring the positive side is facing the correct direction.
  5. Snap the key fob back together securely.
