Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: funnel, clean cloth, and gloves.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is completely cool.
2. Locate Coolant Reservoir
  • Open the hood of the RAV4 and secure it with the prop rod.
  • Identify the coolant reservoir, which is typically a translucent plastic tank marked with "Coolant" or a similar label.
3. Check Coolant Level
  • Look at the side of the coolant reservoir for “FULL” and “LOW” markings.
  • If the coolant is below the "LOW" mark, it needs to be topped up.
4. Add Coolant (if necessary)
  • Remove the cap of the coolant reservoir slowly to release any pressure.
  • Using a funnel, carefully add the appropriate type of coolant until it reaches the "FULL" mark.
  • Wipe any spills with a clean cloth.
5. Replace the Cap
  • Ensure the cap is securely fastened to the coolant reservoir.
  • Close the hood and ensure it is latched properly.
