Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Safely elevate the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface for accurate measurements.
2. Inspect Struts
  • Tools Required: Flashlight
  • Check the struts for visible signs of damage, such as dents or cracks.
  • Look for fluid leakage around the strut seals.
3. Replace Worn Struts
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, strut spring compressor (if applicable)
  • Remove the wheel to access the strut assembly.
  • Disconnect the sway bar link (if equipped) and any brake line brackets attached to the strut.
  • Remove the strut assembly from the vehicle by unbolting it from the lower control arm and the top mount.
  • If necessary, use a strut spring compressor to safely remove the spring from the strut assembly.
  • Install the new struts (and springs if replaced) in reverse order. Ensure to torque all bolts to manufacturer specifications.
4. Reassemble and Test
  • Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle.
  • Perform a test drive to verify stability and ride quality.
