Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Key fob battery (CR2032), small Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver (if needed).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a secure position without any electrical loads.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the key fob using a small flathead screwdriver or a similar tool.
    • Carefully pry apart the fob to avoid damaging the casing.
  2. Remove the old battery.
    • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up).
  3. Insert the new battery (CR2032) in the same orientation.
  4. Reassemble the key fob by snapping the two halves back together.
3. Reprogram Key Fob
  1. Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start the engine) and then back to "OFF" five times within 10 seconds.
  3. Open and close the driver’s door once to confirm programming mode is active (interior lights will flash).
  4. Press any button on the key fob within 20 seconds to program it.
  5. Turn the ignition back to the "ON" position to exit programming mode.
4. Inspect Door Lock Actuators
  1. Remove the door panel of the driver’s side (use appropriate tools).
    • Be cautious of clips and fasteners.
  2. Locate the door lock actuator and inspect wiring connections.
  3. Test the actuator with a multimeter to ensure it’s functioning properly.
  4. Replace the door lock actuator if found faulty.
