Solution
1. Preparation
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Gather tools and materials required for the repair.
  • Tools Required:
    • Jack and jack stands
    • Socket set
    • Torque wrench
    • Pry bar
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use the jack to lift the front of the vehicle.
  • Secure the vehicle with jack stands.
  • Safety Warning: Ensure the vehicle is on a stable surface to prevent it from falling.
3. Inspect and Replace Suspension Components
  • Sway Bar Links and Bushings

    • Remove the bolts securing the sway bar links using a socket set.
    • Inspect and replace any damaged or worn sway bar links and bushings.
    • Torque the new sway bar link bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Ball Joints and Tie Rods

    • Use a pry bar to check for play in the ball joints and tie rods.
    • If any components are found to be defective, remove the respective components.
    • Install new ball joints or tie rods and tighten them to the manufacturer’s torque specifications.
4. Inspect and Replace CV Joints (if necessary)
  • Remove the wheel and brake components to access the CV joint.
  • Inspect the CV boot for tears or damage. If damaged, replace the entire CV axle.
  • If replacing, slide the new CV axle into place and secure it with the retaining clip.
5. Reassemble and Lower the Vehicle
  • Reassemble any components removed for inspection.
  • Lower the vehicle back to the ground.
  • Safety Warning: Ensure all tools are removed from under the vehicle before lowering.
