Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver (if needed)
    • New key fob battery (if replacing)
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is in park and the engine is off before starting.
2. Replace the Key Fob Battery
  1. Open the key fob using a flathead screwdriver to gently pry apart the casing.
  2. Remove the old battery, noting the orientation (positive side facing up).
  3. Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the previous one.
  4. Snap the fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob
  1. Sit in the driver's seat with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  3. Turn the key back to the "OFF" position and remove it.
  4. Within 10 seconds, insert the key back into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position again.
  5. Press the lock button on the key fob for about 1 second.
  6. Turn the ignition back to the "OFF" position and remove the key.
  7. Test the key fob by pressing the lock/unlock buttons.
