my Toyota Highlander Fourth Generation (2020-present) AC is not blowing cold air what do I do

1. Preparation

• Gather necessary tools and parts.
• Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked in a well-ventilated area.

2. Recharge the AC System

• Tools Required: Refrigerant can with a gauge, manifold gauge set
• Check the pressure readings on the low and high sides of the AC system using the manifold gauge.
• If low, connect the refrigerant can to the low-pressure service port.
• Open the valve on the can and allow the refrigerant to flow into the system, monitoring the gauge to reach the recommended pressure.

3. Inspect and Replace Components

• Tools Required: Socket set, wrenches, torque wrench
• If there are any leaks or if the compressor is faulty, remove the defective component:
  • Disconnect any hoses or electrical connections.
  • Remove mounting bolts and take out the faulty component.
• Install the new component by reversing the removal steps, ensuring all connections are tight.

4. Check and Replace Cabin Air Filter

• Tools Required: Screwdriver (if applicable)
• Locate the cabin air filter compartment (usually behind the glove box).
• Remove the cover and take out the old filter.
• Insert a new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly.
