Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver and a new cabin air filter.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove box and empty its contents.
  • Use a flathead screwdriver to gently disconnect the damper arm from the glove box hinge.
  • Squeeze the sides of the glove box inward to release the stops, allowing it to drop down completely.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the cabin air filter cover, which is typically a rectangular panel.
  • Press the tabs on the sides of the cover to release it.
  • Pull the cover off and remove the old cabin air filter from its housing.
  • Note the orientation of the old filter for correct installation of the new one.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing, ensuring it matches the orientation of the old filter.
  • Reattach the cabin air filter cover by pressing it back into place until it clicks.
  • Lift the glove box back into position and secure the retaining stops.
  • Reconnect the damper arm to the glove box hinge.
