Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools including a multimeter, socket set, and OBD-II scanner.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, turn off the engine, and remove the keys from the ignition.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shock or short circuits.
2. Inspect and Replace Headlight Bulbs
  1. Open the hood and locate the headlight assembly.
  2. Remove the headlight assembly cover (if applicable) by unscrewing or unclipping it.
  3. Twist the bulb socket counterclockwise and pull it out.
  4. Remove the old bulb by pulling it straight out of the socket.
  5. Insert the new bulb (make sure not to touch the glass with bare fingers).
  6. Reconnect the bulb socket and secure it back in place.
  7. Replace the headlight assembly cover.
3. Check and Replace the Headlight Fuse
  1. Locate the fuse box; refer to the owner's manual for its exact position.
  2. Remove the fuse panel cover.
  3. Identify the headlight fuse using the diagram on the fuse panel cover.
  4. Pull the fuse out using a fuse puller or pliers.
  5. Check the fuse for continuity; replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage if blown.
  6. Reinstall the fuse and the fuse panel cover.
4. Test the Headlight Switch
  1. Disconnect the headlight switch connector.
  2. Use a multimeter to check for continuity across the switch terminals when toggled.
  3. If no continuity is detected, replace the headlight switch with a new unit.
5. Inspect Wiring and Connectors
  1. Visually inspect the wiring harness for any signs of wear, frays, or damage.
  2. Clean any corroded connectors with electrical contact cleaner.
  3. Repair or replace damaged wiring or connectors as necessary.
6. Final Reassembly
  1. Reconnect the battery.
  2. Test the headlights to ensure they operate correctly.
  3. If issues persist, further electrical diagnostics may be required.
