Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is running.
  • Gather the necessary tools: gloves and a clean rag.
2. Locate the Dipstick/Fill Plug
  • For models with a dipstick, open the hood and locate the transmission dipstick, usually located near the rear of the engine.
  • If there is no dipstick, locate the transmission fill plug on the transmission housing, typically on the side.
3. Check Fluid Level
  • If using a dipstick:

    • Pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean with a rag, and reinsert it fully.
    • Remove it again to check the fluid level against the markings. The level should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks.
  • If using a fill plug:

    • Remove the fill plug using the appropriate socket or wrench.
    • Insert a clean finger into the fill hole; the fluid should be at the bottom of the hole. If you can touch the fluid, it is at the correct level.
4. Add Fluid (if necessary)
  • If the fluid level is low, use the manufacturer-recommended transmission fluid.
  • Using a funnel, add fluid slowly through the dipstick tube or fill hole until the proper level is reached.
5. Reinstall Components
  • Replace the dipstick securely or reinstall the fill plug and tighten it to the manufacturer's specifications.
