Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is off, allowing it to cool slightly.
2. Locate the Dipstick
  • Open the hood of the vehicle securely using the hood release latch.
  • Identify the oil dipstick, which is usually located near the engine and has a brightly colored handle (often yellow or orange).
3. Check the Oil Level
  • Pull the dipstick out of the tube slowly.
  • Wipe the dipstick clean using the lint-free cloth or paper towel to remove any oil.
  • Reinsert the dipstick fully back into the tube to ensure an accurate reading.
  • Pull the dipstick out again and observe the oil level. The oil should be between the minimum and maximum marks on the dipstick.
4. Add Oil if Necessary
  • If the oil level is below the minimum mark, locate the oil filler cap on top of the engine.
  • Remove the oil filler cap and add the correct type of oil (as specified in the owner's manual) using a funnel to prevent spills.
  • Add oil a little at a time, checking the dipstick frequently until the desired level is reached.
  • Replace the oil filler cap securely.
