Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery (CR2032) ready.
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver and a clean cloth.
  • Work in a clean area to prevent losing small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small notch on the seam of the key fob.
  • Insert the small flathead screwdriver into the notch and gently twist to pry the fob open.
  • Take care not to damage the plastic casing during this process.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Carefully lift the old battery out of its compartment. Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up).
  • Dispose of the old battery according to local regulations.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Place the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring the positive side (+) is facing up.
  • Press down gently to secure the battery in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob.
  • Press firmly around the edges to snap the fob back together until you hear a click.
  • Ensure there are no gaps between the two halves.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand within proximity of the vehicle and test the key fob by pressing the lock/unlock buttons.
