1. Preparation

3. Bleed the Brake System
  • Tools Required: Brake bleeder kit or a clear hose, container for old fluid, and wrench.
  • Start at the wheel furthest from the master cylinder (usually the right rear).
  • Attach the clear hose to the bleeder valve on the brake caliper.
  • Have an assistant pump the brake pedal several times and hold it down.
  • Open the bleeder valve to allow air and fluid to escape, then close it before the pedal is released.
