Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is turned off.
  • Have the keys ready; you will need them for the ignition.
2. Turn on the Ignition
  1. Insert the key into the ignition.
  2. Turn the key to the "ON" position without starting the engine. This is the second position on the ignition switch.
3. Access the Odometer/Trip Meter
  1. Locate the odometer button on the dashboard. This may also serve as the trip meter reset button.
  2. Press the button until the trip meter is displayed (not the odometer).
4. Reset the Maintenance Light
  1. While the trip meter is displayed, turn the ignition off.
  2. Press and hold the odometer/trip meter reset button.
  3. Turn the ignition back to the "ON" position while still holding the button.
  4. Continue holding the button until the maintenance light blinks and then turns off, usually after about 10 seconds.
5. Finalize the Reset
  1. Release the odometer/trip meter reset button.
  2. Turn the ignition off completely and then start the vehicle to ensure the maintenance light is no longer illuminated.
