Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock or short circuits.
2. Remove Engine Cover (if applicable)
  • Use a socket set to remove any bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Gently lift off the engine cover and set it aside.
3. Access Spark Plugs
  • Locate the ignition coils on top of the spark plugs.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from each ignition coil by pressing the tab and pulling it out.
  • Remove the bolts securing each ignition coil using a socket wrench.
  • Gently pull each ignition coil out of the spark plug well.
4. Remove Old Spark Plugs
  • Use a spark plug socket and ratchet to carefully unscrew and remove the old spark plugs from the cylinder head.
  • Inspect the removed spark plugs for signs of wear or damage.
5. Install New Spark Plugs
  • Check and adjust the gap on the new spark plugs using a feeler gauge (refer to manufacturer's specifications, typically around 0.043 inches).
  • Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound to the threads of the new spark plugs (optional).
  • Hand-tighten the new spark plugs into the cylinder head, then use a torque wrench to tighten them to the specified torque (typically around 13 lb-ft).
6. Reinstall Ignition Coils
  • Carefully insert each ignition coil back into its respective spark plug well.
  • Secure the ignition coils with their bolts and reconnect the electrical connectors.
7. Replace Engine Cover
  • Reinstall the engine cover, if removed, and secure it with the appropriate bolts.
8. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal and ensure it is secure.
