Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small Phillips screwdriver, flat-head screwdriver, multimeter.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery (CR2032) for the key fob.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery if necessary to prevent any electrical issues.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry apart the key fob casing.
  • Carefully separate the two halves of the key fob to avoid damaging internal components.
  • Note the orientation of the battery for correct installation later.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob. Dispose of it properly.
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring the correct polarity (+ side facing up).
  • Reassemble the key fob, making sure it clicks securely back into place.
4. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand near the vehicle and press the unlock button to test if it functions correctly.
  • If the fob still doesn’t work, proceed to reprogram the key fob.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position (do not start the engine).
  • Within 5 seconds, turn the key back to the "Off" position and remove it.
  • Press and hold the “Lock” button on the key fob for approximately 5 seconds.
  • Try to unlock the vehicle with the key fob to confirm successful programming.
