Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, replacement headlight bulbs (if necessary).
  • Safety warning: Disconnect the battery before working on electrical components.
2. Clean Battery Terminals
  • Use a wire brush to clean any corrosion from the battery terminals.
  • Reconnect the battery terminals securely.
3. Replace Headlight Bulbs (if needed)
  • Open the hood and locate the headlight assembly.
  • Remove the headlight bulb by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it out.
  • Insert the new bulb without touching the glass, and secure it by turning it clockwise.
4. Test and Replace the Battery (if necessary)
  • If the battery voltage is below 12.6 volts, consider replacing the battery.
  • To replace the battery:
    1. Disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal.
    2. Remove any brackets securing the battery.
    3. Lift out the old battery and place the new battery in the tray.
    4. Reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative terminal.
5. Test and Replace the Alternator (if necessary)
  • If the alternator output is below 13.7 volts while the engine is running, replace the alternator.
  • To replace the alternator:
    1. Disconnect the battery.
    2. Remove the drive belt from the alternator pulley.
    3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the alternator.
    4. Remove the mounting bolts securing the alternator and take it out.
    5. Install the new alternator by reversing the removal steps.
