Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small screwdriver, new battery (CR2032), and a key fob tester (if available).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe area, and turn off all electronics to avoid interference.
2. Disassemble the Key Fob
  • Use a small screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob casing.
  • Start at the seam and gently separate the sections to avoid damaging the clips.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob.
  • Insert the new battery (CR2032) ensuring the positive side faces up.
  • Make sure the battery is seated properly in its compartment.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob casing.
  • Press the halves together firmly until you hear a click, indicating they are secured.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Sit in the driver’s seat and ensure all doors are closed.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine.
  • Turn the key back to "Off" and remove it.
  • Open and close the driver's door six times within 30 seconds.
  • Insert the key back in the ignition, turn to "On", and press any button on the key fob. This should reprogram the fob.
