Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Lift the vehicle using a hydraulic jack and secure it with jack stands.
  • Remove the wheel(s) to access the brake calipers.
  • Wear safety goggles and gloves.
2. Locate Brake Bleeders
  • Identify the brake bleeder valves on each wheel. They are typically located on the top of the brake calipers.
3. Begin Bleeding Process
  • Starting with the furthest wheel from the master cylinder:
    1. Place a clear plastic hose over the bleeder valve, leading into a catch container.
    2. Open the bleeder valve using a wrench (typically 10mm or 12mm).
    3. Have an assistant press down on the brake pedal several times and hold it down.
4. Bleed the Brake Line
  • While the assistant holds the brake pedal down:
    1. Close the bleeder valve to trap the fluid and air inside the hose.
    2. Instruct the assistant to release the brake pedal.
    3. Repeat this process until no air bubbles appear in the fluid coming out of the bleeder hose. Ensure the brake fluid reservoir does not run dry during this process.
5. Move to the Next Wheel
  • Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the following wheels in this order: right rear, left front, and finally left rear.
6. Refill Brake Fluid
  • Once all wheels are bled, check the brake fluid reservoir level and fill it to the recommended level with the appropriate brake fluid (DOT 3 or DOT 4, as specified in the owner's manual).
7. Reassemble
  • Reinstall the wheels and lower the vehicle.
  • Torque the wheel lug nuts to the manufacturer's specifications.
