Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver or a coin.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery (CR2032 lithium battery).
  • Work in a clean, well-lit area to avoid losing small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam or notch on the edge of the key fob where the two halves meet.
  • Insert the small flathead screwdriver or coin into the seam and gently twist to pry open the fob.
  • Carefully separate the two halves to avoid damaging the internal components.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the battery's orientation (positive and negative sides).
  • Gently lift the old battery out using your fingers or a non-metallic tool if needed.
  • Dispose of the old battery properly, following local regulations.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Take the new CR2032 battery and place it into the battery holder in the same orientation as the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Ensure the battery is seated securely in the holder without any movement.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob back together.
  • Press firmly along the edges to snap the fob back into place until you hear a click.
  • Test the fob by pressing the buttons to ensure it is working correctly.
