Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the necessary tools: a new CR2032 battery, a small flathead screwdriver, and an OBD-II scanner (if needed).
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, well-ventilated area and that the ignition is off.
2. Replace the Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the small flathead screwdriver to carefully pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old CR2032 battery from the fob.
  3. Insert the new CR2032 battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  4. Reassemble the key fob casing until it clicks securely into place.
3. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit in the driver's seat and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position.
  3. Within 5 seconds, turn the key back to "OFF" and remove it from the ignition.
  4. Press and hold the “LOCK” button on the key fob for 1 second.
  5. Repeat the above steps two more times for a total of three cycles (ON-OFF).
  6. Turn the ignition to "ON" again, and test the key fob.
