Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: flathead screwdriver, new battery (typically CR2032), and a soft cloth to prevent scratches.
  • Ensure you are in a well-lit area to avoid losing any small components.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the Seam: Identify the seam of the key fob where it opens.
  • Insert the Flathead Screwdriver: Gently insert the flathead screwdriver into the seam.
  • Twist to Open: Carefully twist the screwdriver to pry open the key fob without damaging the casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Identify the Battery: Locate the battery inside the key fob.
  • Note Battery Orientation: Take note of the battery orientation (positive and negative sides).
  • Remove the Battery: Using your fingers or the screwdriver’s edge, carefully lift the old battery out of its compartment.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Insert New Battery: Place the new battery in the same orientation as the old one, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing the correct direction.
  • Press Down Securely: Make sure the battery fits snugly in its compartment.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the Halves: Align the two halves of the key fob back together.
  • Press Together: Firmly press the two halves together until you hear a click, indicating they are securely closed.
