Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: OBD-II scanner, coolant pressure tester, multimeter, screwdriver set, pliers, and a torque wrench.
  • Ensure safety: Allow the engine to cool completely before working on the cooling system.
2. Replace Thermostat (if defective)
  • Remove Thermostat:
    1. Drain coolant from the radiator using a drain pan.
    2. Disconnect the upper radiator hose and any other hoses connected to the thermostat housing.
    3. Remove the bolts securing the thermostat housing with a socket set.
    4. Take out the thermostat and gasket.
  • Install New Thermostat:
    1. Clean the mating surfaces on the thermostat housing and engine block.
    2. Place the new thermostat and gasket into position.
    3. Reattach the thermostat housing and tighten bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque.
    4. Reconnect hoses and refill the radiator with the appropriate coolant.
