1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, multimeter, replacement battery (CR2032), key fob.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe, accessible location.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the small flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Carefully separate the two halves of the key fob.
  3. Remove the old battery from the key fob, noting the orientation.
  4. Insert the new battery (CR2032) in the same orientation as the old battery.
  5. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit inside the vehicle and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position (do not start).
  3. Turn the key back to "OFF" and remove it.
  4. Within 40 seconds, press and hold the "LOCK" button on the key fob for 1 second.
