Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Use a socket set to remove bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Carefully lift off the engine cover and set it aside.
3. Remove Intake Manifold (if necessary)
  • Disconnect the throttle body by removing its bolts and electrical connectors.
  • Remove the air intake duct by loosening the clamps and disconnecting any sensors.
  • Unbolt the intake manifold, ensuring to label any vacuum lines and connectors for reinstallation.
  • Carefully lift the intake manifold off and set it aside.
4. Remove Fuel Rail
  • Disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail using a fuel line disconnect tool.
  • Unplug the electrical connectors from each fuel injector.
  • Unbolt the fuel rail from the intake manifold.
  • Gently lift the fuel rail along with the injectors out of the engine.
5. Replace Fuel Injectors
  • Remove the old fuel injectors from the fuel rail by pulling them straight out.
  • Lubricate the O-rings of the new injectors with clean engine oil.
  • Insert the new injectors into the fuel rail, ensuring they seat properly.
6. Reinstall Fuel Rail
  • Position the fuel rail with the new injectors back into the engine.
  • Secure the fuel rail with bolts and reconnect the fuel line and electrical connectors.
7. Reassemble Engine Components
  • Reinstall the intake manifold and secure it with bolts.
  • Reconnect the throttle body and air intake duct.
  • Place the engine cover back and secure it with bolts.
8. Final Checks
  • Reconnect the battery.
  • Replace the fuel pump fuse.
  • Turn the ignition to the "ON" position to prime the fuel system, then check for leaks.
