Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, fuel pressure gauge, multimeter, and OBD-II scanner.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Remove any plastic engine covers by unscrewing the retaining bolts.
    2. Set the cover aside in a safe place.
3. Access Fuel Injectors
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Remove the intake manifold if necessary (this may vary depending on the injector’s location).
    2. Disconnect the throttle body if it obstructs access to the injectors.
4. Remove Old Fuel Injectors
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Carefully disconnect the electrical connectors from the injectors by pressing the release tab.
    2. Remove the fuel rail bolts using a socket wrench.
    3. Carefully pull the fuel rail with the injectors attached away from the intake manifold.
    4. Remove the old injectors from the fuel rail by gently pulling them out.
5. Install New Fuel Injectors
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Lubricate the O-rings of the new injectors with clean engine oil to ensure a proper seal.
    2. Insert the new injectors into the fuel rail, ensuring they seat properly.
    3. Reattach the fuel rail with the new injectors back onto the intake manifold and secure with bolts.
6. Reconnect Components
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Reconnect the throttle body and any other components you may have disconnected.
    2. Reconnect the electrical connectors to each injector.
7. Reassemble and Test
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Reinstall the engine cover and secure it with bolts.
    2. Reconnect the fuel pump fuse and the negative battery terminal.
    3. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine to prime the fuel system and check for leaks.
