2. Inspect Battery Installation
  • Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully open the key fob casing.
  • Remove the battery and check the orientation; make sure the positive (+) side is facing the correct direction.
  • Reinsert the battery firmly in place, ensuring a good connection.
3. Check for Damage
  • Inspect the key fob for any cracks or damage that may affect its function.
  • Ensure that the contacts inside the key fob are clean and free of corrosion. Use a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol to clean if necessary.
4. Test Battery Voltage
  • Set the multimeter to measure DC voltage.
  • Place the probes on the battery terminals; a healthy battery should show approximately 3 volts.
